History
The club was founded in 1976 to cater for the large number of young boys who played football in the Togher area. The founding members were Denis Linihan, Paddy Coen, Gerard Cronin and Pat O'Connor
In the first season the club entered an under 12 Team in the Cork Schoolboys League and under 8 and 10 in the Southside League. The under 8 team were successful in winning the cup at their first attempt.
The second season in football saw the club win the under 8 League and cup double and the under 10 Cup and take the runner up position in the league. The under 8 double was also achieved the following season.
As the years went by the number of teams increased to cater for the large number of boys who were anxious to play soccer and indeed we are unique in football by allowing the first girl to partake in competitive soccer.
1980 saw the club win the under 10 Cup for the second time when they defeated a more fancied side before a large attendance at Wilton.
In 1983 we entered our first team in the Cork AUL when our youths were the flag bearers. At this stage also a young lad began to show a lot of promise, he was none other than Brian Carey who was subsequently signed by Manchester United.
